New Vehicles:
30 model year 2013 vehicles added covering BMW, Cadillac, Ford, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Scion and Subaru.  This brings us to 9% coverage of the anticipated 2013 vehicles.

30 Day VCDB Notice:
The Vehicle Configuration table serves to validate the combination of attributes selected for an application record from the VCDB. The scope of the table is limited to Light Duty vehicles, intended for the US only, for 1985 and later.

MOTOR is performing extensive research to improve the accuracy and completeness of the VCDB – including the integrity of the VehicleConfig table.  As part of this effort invalid VehicleTo records have been identified that need to be deleted.  And, missing Vehicle Configurations have been identified. The first of these changes affecting the VehicleToDriveType and VehicleToSteeringConfig tables will be published in the May VCDB.

This file indicates records that will to be updated in VehicleConfig or deleted in their respective VehicleTo tables.

1. If there is an “x” in the Missing in VehicleConfig column, this means the VehicleConfig table will be updated to include this VehicleTo record.

2.  If there is an “x” in the Delete Invalid VehicleTo Record column, this means this VehicleTo record will be deleted.

PCDB Clean-up and 60 Day Notice:
In February AAIA published a list of deletions and changes that will become effective to the PCDB on May 25. The details of these changes can be found in the archived version of the February release notes.

Legacy Sunset December 2012

The Legacy Make Model (MM) table will be retired in December 2012. The table will no longer be published and references to the MM Legacy data will be removed from the VCdb. Is your AAIA Legacy Migration plan on schedule? If you have questions, write to aces@aftermarket.org
